JAKI 60+
About the project
BCCInnovation participates in the development of JAKI 60+ project, which aim to develop new food matrices, high in protein content, and which are easily chewable and attractive to the senior population. JAKI 60+ is an R&D project focused on developing and implementing new products and specific culinary techniques to promote a healthier diet for seniors. The project aims to contribute in the field of research related to the healthy aging of the Basque population, working for reaching a greater physical, social, and emotional well-being. The project is being developed by a consortium led by GSR, in collaboration with Ausolan, BCCInnovation (Basque Culinary Center), ISEA, and Leartiker.
BCCInnovation research team participates providing knowledge on the best culinary techniques to be used in new products, without compromising the organoleptic characteristics of the products, and seeking the maximum acceptance and well-being of the potential consumers and beneficiaries of the project: the senior population.
The project is being financially supported by the Basque Government’s Department of Economic Development and Infrastructure through the 2018 Call for Research, Development and Innovation in the Agricultural, Food and Fisheries sectors.
